Frequently Asked

Why do you offer two free sessions?

Because coaching is deeply personal, and you shouldn't have to pay to find out whether it works for you. Two sessions give us enough time to do real work together — not just a sales conversation. If it's right for you, you'll know. If not, you've gained insight for free.

What happens in the discovery call?

It's a 40-minute conversation via Zoom or face to face in Wellington. I'll ask about your situation and what you're hoping to achieve. You can ask me anything about coaching, my approach, or whether I'm the right fit. There's zero pressure to continue.

Are the free sessions really free? What's the catch?

No catch. They're full 60-minute sessions using the same GROW model framework as paid sessions. I'm building my coaching practice and I want you to experience genuine value before you commit any money. If after two sessions you don't want to continue, we shake hands and part ways.

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy typically explores the past to heal present difficulties. Coaching is forward-focused — it starts from where you are now and helps you get where you want to be. I'm not a therapist and don't treat mental health conditions. If I think you'd benefit from therapy, I'll say so honestly.

How often should I have sessions?

Most clients find fortnightly sessions work well — enough time between sessions to take action, but close enough to maintain momentum. That said, it's flexible. Some people prefer weekly during intense periods and less frequently as things settle.

Do you work in person or only online?

Sessions are via Zoom or face to face in Wellington, which means flexibility regardless of where you're based. Most of my clients are in the Wellington region or across New Zealand, but I also work with people further afield via Zoom.

What if coaching isn't right for me?

Then I'll tell you — possibly before you tell me. I'd rather be honest about fit than take your money for something that won't serve you. If coaching isn't what you need, I'll try to point you in the right direction, whether that's therapy, financial advice, legal counsel, or something else entirely.

Start With a Conversation

No commitment. No cost. Just a 40-minute chat to see if coaching is right for where you are right now.
